A short note of tremendous thanks to all of those who donated/bid on/purchased items, and otherwise contributed to today's Talent Auction. The generosity in this place never ceases to astound me. Thanks for lending your time, talents, and finances to making a lasting impact for the kingdom through the lives of these kids. You all, truly, rock my world. :)
Thank you so much!!

Thank you!!
By Jen Pollard on
12/17/2005
This morning, by 10:30, we had 14 youth and three adults piled into three cars, heading to Fremont to do some shopping for our Adopt a Family. Our family consisted of two parents, and five kids, ranging in age from 2 - 13. Three boys, two girls. By 4:00 this afternoon, we had a pile of presents that litterally covered the entire length of the conference room table, and that will undoubtedly cover the floor under the family's Christmas tree. I wanted to take a minute to thank each and every person who so willingly gave towards the gifts on that table. I want to make sure you know what you did, not only for the family, but for our youth.
Because of your help,
a 5 year old boy is going to have heaps of Matchbox cars
a 10 year old boy is going to have a remote controlled Jeep
a 13 year old girl will have new clothes, new coat, and new makeup to wear to school
a 2 year old will have a warm coat and pajamas, and a tea set
a 4 year old boy will have a big stuffed bear and Sponge Bob sheets
a family will get to sit down to a filling, fun Christmas meal, with ham and all the trimmings, plus have Christmas cookies to bake and decorate
On top of those awesome things (and more!!), you have helped our youth learn the power of giving back to those who need help and helped us share the awesome giving spirit of Christ to those who need him.
Thanks so much for helping us share the love of Christ to our Adopt a Family. We couldn't do it without you!

LYO Pool Party this Sunday
By Jen Pollard on
8/3/2005
Hi youthies (and others!) - I wanted to remind everyone that this Sunday is our LYO Pool Party! It will start after church, and last until about 4:00pm, or until you're too tired to swim anymore. Please bring the following items: $3 for pizza, your Bibles, and a friend. This is a great opportunity to bring your friends to an easy going, laid back, really fun time with no pressure. Please consider which of your friends would most benefit from coming to this event.
Give me a call (419-861-6407) or e-mail me (pollard_jen@yahoo.com) with any questions.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!
Jen!
