Worshipping God
It's what Christians do first. We love God...and we offer ourselves through the praise and thanksgiving of worship. For the community at Grace that means two different services during these summer months:
Thursday evenings at 7:30pm…an opportunity for Word and Sacrament, with a sense of the timing recognizing that summers are busy times with vacations, trips to the beach, family reunions and all sorts of other pleasurable weekend distractions. You don’t need to go on vacation from God for three months...just join us on Thursday!
Sunday morning at 9:00am...normally the larger and noisier of our weekly gatherings of Word and Sacrament. A nursery is available for little ones who get fussy; but children are always welcome in worship. On June 15 and July 13, we gather outdoors beneath the trees and the birds’ songs of the parsonage backyard (weather permitting). Bring a lawn chair and join us! On Sunday, August 3, we'll gather at a speical time (10:00am) and in a special place (Elmore's Well Park) for a very special "Dixieland" liturgy with musical guests, the Calk-Walkin' Jass Band.
Because our sanctuary is not air-conditioned, we will “retreat” into the comfort of the Fellowship Hall on those days when the heat and humidity are just too high. Follow the signs and look for us there.
